"Since 1997, TAG has provided real solutions and expertise for Rosenbauer America to increase export sales. Rosenbauer America, a manufacturer of emergency vehicles, traditionally required a letter of credit or advanced payment for export sales. While this works well for many customers, we felt offering alternative payment terms to our clients would provide an advantage over competition.
Although open account terms and financing options would increase sales volume, Rosenbauer America did not want to assume the political and economic risks associated with many countries and customers. Our business is building emergency vehicles.
In partnering with TAG, we have been able to offer qualified customers (including foreign government agencies, municipalities, distributors and private companies) open account terms by obtaining an Ex-Im Bank short-term multibuyer insurance policy. This has resulted in sales that we would have not otherwise obtained. Additionally, TAG has brokered private insurance policies for us to meet some unique customer situations.
Rosenbauer America was also able to win over $16 million in contracts with the Government of Jamaica using TAG’s packaging and arranging services for several medium-term buyer credit and down payment financings. We have also relied on TAG for their expertise in document preparation and review as well as their foreign credit agency report services.
By doing what they do best, TAG has taken the “hassle” and uncertainty out of export finance for Rosenbauer America. This has allowed us to focus on what we do best – manufacturing and selling fire safety and emergency rescue vehicles.”
